Made my way back home today. Loading up my car was a total pain. It was completely packed, couldn't see out the back or anything. Somehow I made it home in 2 hours and 45 minutes even though it flooded and I had to drive 50mph part of the way, got stuck in traffic, and made a stop at one of the turnpike plazas. Glad to be home though.

As for tomorrow, I'm going to be painting the family room and living room in exchange for my parents buying me a desk and other random stuff for my new apt. Fair deal I suppose. Other than that...I'll probably be bored most of the night and rest of the weekend, since I'm going to predict right now that it rains on Fourth of July and ruins the fireworks. :( But I swear I'm going to play with at least one damned sparkler even if it kills me....or burns the house down.

Guess that's all I have to say for now. I should get some rest, even though that's hard to do in this house since my mom insists on leaving the thermostat at 78º or higher. Sigh...here's to hot nights, and not the good kind.

Although today was rather uneventful, I found it to be a great day. I was awoken at 9 am by two maintenance guys coming to replace my mattress. So I came to the conclusion that it meant I had to get up out of bed and start the day. As these guys are tearing all the covers off my bed, with their dirty hands, I ask them if I can keep the old mattress, since I'm moving in a month and need one for my new apt. The guy looks at me like I'm crazy, but says it's ok anyway. Score! New mattress for my new place, for free too! Cause I am soooo taking the new one and leaving the old mattress here. Muahaha. They'll never know. So in the meantime, I have two mattresses on my bed, and I have to jump to get up there. I feel like a pretty, pretty princess when I'm in my bed. :)

So after that escapade, I went off to class....such an awesome class at that. Sociology of Murder. Soooo interesting. Morbid, but interesting. After class, came home, took a nap, and when I woke up, my DVD's from the library had arrived. Yay! (For those of you who don't know, the library will FedEx you any of their books, cds, dvds FREE of charge if you request them online. How freakin cool is that??). So anyway, I have Anchorman, Love Acutally, Vanilla Sky, and Blue Collar Comedy Tour to watch. Definately taking them home for the weekend.

Started packing today, fuuuun times. Didn't realize how much crap I have accumulated over the years until I started to sort through it tonight. I'm getting rid of tons of it, and bringing even more home. The less I have to move to the new apt, the better. Which is only 4 weeks from now!!! :D Can't wait.

Oh, here's the cute story of the evening. My new roomie, decided she wanted to cook me dinner. I probably should say "cook" me dinner, because all she did was put two hot dogs in the microwave and yet she was all excited as if she had just made a meal like Emeril. So adorable, I swear. And for dessert, we had Oreos and milk, which was actually just what I needed. Soooo yummy. It's a shame I'm moving out so soon. I think Tina and I would get along very well if we lived together for the year. Oh well.

Ok, now that I've written a novel, I think I'm going to finish packing and get to bed. Long day tomorrow, including an interview at a marketing firm downtown. Wish me luck! Then driving home right after that....boy am I going to sleep well tomorrow night....

I don't understand how this keeps happening, but I'm sick again. For the second time this month. To the doctor's tomorrow I shall go.

Tomorrow night I have to load up my car with the crap I don't want to bring to the new apartment, and then Thursday afternoon I get to drive my happy ass home again. Yay!

So tonight I went out to dinner with my dad and my new roommate, Tina. She is totally awesome by the way. She's a freshman, and adjusting to being away from home is kinda hard for her, so I'm trying to make it easier for her. She couldn't be any sweeter. After dinner we hung out and woke up poor Kristy, who has to work the graveyard shift at the hospital tonight, 11 pm to 7 am. Ouch! And to top it off, she works tomorrow from 3 to 11pm....she's gonna be exhausted for her 8 am class on Thursday. I've never been so glad I stayed away from the medical field.

Well, I guess that's all really, my life is very uninteresting.....I need to find a hobby. Or a job. Preferrably the latter.

Well, doing this because I was called out in another post....kinda lame, I know. Well, hope you're happy.....ya bastard. :P

My top 7 favorite songs of the moment:

1 - Feeling Good - Michael Bublé (nothing more needs to be said.)
2 - Wordplay - Jason Mraz (so glad he's back.)
3 - Don't Cha - Pussycat Dolls (my guilty pleasure is liking this song.)
4 - Hey Girl - OAR (kinda Sublime-ish...just discovered them recently. falling in love though.)
5 - Sugar We're Goin Down - Fall Out Boy (they were #1 on TRL last week....but on my list...#5. sorry boys.)
6 - This Is How A Heart Breaks - Rob Thomas (damn the NBA for using that as the theme song to the Finals...I mean, come on...)
7 - Hold On For One More Day - Wilson Philips (yeah, Harold & Kumar has warped my mind)
